Vietnam is the world’s top producer and exporter of peppercorns, accounting for over 40% of the global supply. Among the various types of pepper exported, black pepper and white pepper remain the most popular and widely used, both in everyday cuisine and in large-scale food manufacturing. As demand for premium and sustainable spices continues to rise, choosing a reliable supplier becomes more important than ever.
PNP Global Supply is proud to be one of Vietnam’s leading suppliers of pepper black and white, offering high-quality products that meet FAQ (Fair Average Quality) and ASTA MC (American Spice Trade Association Maximum Cleanliness) standards. With a weekly production capacity of 4–5 containers and a modern warehouse in Binh Duong, we are well-positioned to meet global demand for bulk black pepper, white peppercorns, and customized pepper solutions.

Black pepper and white pepper remain the most popular and widely used types of spices
Despite coming from the same plant (Piper nigrum), black pepper and white pepper are processed differently, resulting in distinct flavors, colors, and culinary applications. These differences are often discussed under terms like white v black pepper or white peppercorn vs black peppercorn—a topic of both culinary interest and commercial importance.
Black pepper is made by harvesting the berries just before they ripen. The berries are then sun-dried, during which the outer skin turns dark and wrinkled. This drying process creates the pepper’s sharp, pungent aroma and slightly bitter flavor. Black pepper is the most commonly used spice in the world and is a staple in both home kitchens and the food manufacturing industry.
White pepper is created by allowing the pepper berries to fully ripen. They are then soaked in water for several days to loosen and remove the outer skin. What remains is the seed, which is dried to produce white peppercorns. This variety has a milder, more delicate flavor and is preferred in recipes where a lighter color or subtler aroma is desired—such as in cream sauces, soups, and certain Asian cuisines. One of the most premium forms of white pepper is skull pepper, known for its clean appearance and refined flavor.
At PNP, we supply a wide range of types of peppercorns, suitable for multiple markets and industries:
